ALTERNATIVE / SUMATIVE ASSESSMENT REPLACE FINAL EXAM

As everyone knows, COVID'19 is still in the process of the recovery stage. Hence, the university decides that even the final exam online for the February 2019/2020 Session is omitted and replaced with alternative/summative assessment. This is because there are some constraints encountered during the survey. So, the faculty chose to conduct alternative/summative assessments to replace the final examination.

There are several possible ways to carry out these alternative/summative assessments, including online quizzes, case studies, open-book exams, online presentations, video recordings, infographic presentations, e-portfolios, special assignments, final projects or work-related projects respectively. The method of the alternative/summative assessments depends on the suitability of the course subject to the selection of lecturers and also must be approved by the Faculty Examination Committee.

The important goal of this assessment is to make the selected method more structurally consistent with Course Learning Outcome and permanent scoring distribution as covered in the Pro Forma Course. The assessment will be held from July 5 to July 23, 2020. The following table is an example of alternative/summative assessment at the Forest Resources Technology program.
